Computer users are being warned of a new email scam doing the rounds this week.
The email looks like an official Amazon email, mentioning offers such as free shipping and that an order- that was not ordered- has been shipped.
Consumers are also reporting other company emails offering free points and other incentives. All of these have a link for the user to click to “avail of these offers” which releases a virus and could lead to your computer breaking completely.
This comes only a short time after scam Electric Ireland emails did the rounds.
