Budget airline Ryanair is taking a hard line against any pilots who participate in the upcoming industrial action, threatening to remove pay benefits and promotion opportunities from anyone who joins the picket line.
A group of Dublin-based pilots recently announced its decision to stage a one-day work stoppage on December 20, in a row over representation rights at the airline.
Soon after, Ryanair released a statement saying that they will ‘lose those agreed benefits which arise from dealing directly with Ryanair.’
If it goes ahead, the move is likely to create great disruption during the run-up to Christmas.
