The most famous nun in the world, Mother Angelica has sadly passed away aged 92.
The charismatic woman set up Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) in 1981. The channel of Sky’s 589, has become the biggest Catholic television station in the world. It’s said to be viewed in over 100 countries and Mother Angelica was the stalwart behind it. Presenting many shows over the years, she became an International television figure.
Mother Mary Angelica of the Annunciation, aka Rita Antoinette Rizzo, died in Alabama on Easter Sunday.
