The Department of Education have confirmed that all schools across the country will officially remain open over the coming days despite the recent change in the weather.
In an official announcement made this afternoon a department spokesperson said the department currently has no plans to close schools despite some areas seeing significant snowfall.
The spokesperson also said the department will only close schools if the weather significantly worsens in the coming days, however they state individual schools can opt to close its doors if they are in an area with adverse weather conditions.
