Met Eireann has issued a warning ahead of the arrival of Storm Callum, as the approaching weather front brings high winds and heavy rains.
Today, Wednesday, is expected to be a rather fine and settled day with temperatures of up to 21C in some areas.
The weather is forecast to take a marked turn for the worse on Thursday afternoon and early evening however, as the storm arrives.
Thursday night and Friday morning are likely to be very wet and windy, with the possibility of flooding along coastal areas due to a combination of heavy rain and high tides.
Stormy conditions will ease towards Friday afternoon, followed by another spell of wet weather on Friday night.
