Theresa May’s future as British PM hangs in the balance as election results end in a hung parliament

Theresa May’s future as British Prime Minister hangs in the balance this morning after a General Election that will be one to forget for the Conservative party.

Although the party did take the largest number of seats in Westminster the party failed to gain the overall majority to regain outright control of the British Government.

In a night which will be remembered for the Labour party’s rise and a stepping stone for Jeremy Corbyn, it now seems that the British public are no closer to having stable Government during what is a time of great change for the nation.

Ms May who was convinced of a snap election landslide victory would have been able to enabled her to fulfill her direct mandate and force through a hard Brexit, could very well be regretting her rash decision as many in and outside the houses of parliament believe it is now time for her to tender her resignation.
