Time is running out for those wishing to join the Garda reserve as the Gardaí have said the application process is set to close on Thursday.
The recruitment drive which was launched last month will officially see thousands of applications being assessed in the coming weeks ahead.
However the Gardaí say its not too late to join and those aged 18 to 60 are still welcome to apply.
It is expected over 300 positions will be filled over the next year, with successful applicants being given a job in their local community.
Those who are accepted will be given a number of responsibilities including dealing with public order incidents, high-visibility patrolling, traffic management, attending major events, and supporting full-time Garda members.
