The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed this afternoon that an Irish man has tragically died whilst he was on holiday in Spain.
The department say the man aged 44, sadly died after he fell ill on Saturday night. It is understood the man was holidaying with friends when became separated from the group.
A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs said the government is aware of the case, and are currently offering assistance to the man’s family.
