Police in the UK have tragically confirmed this evening that an infant remains have been discovered in a park in Kent.
The remains believed to be that of a young baby were discovered by passers by at a park in the town of Sheerness.
They say they currently investigating the discovery and as of yet the age and identity of the child is not yet known.
In a brief statement a spokesperson for Kent Police said: āOfficers are at the scene conducting enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that can help them establish the circumstances.”
āAs part of their enquiries, officers are also keen to locate the mother of the child to ensure her wellbeing.”
āThose that do come forward should know that the information will be handled in a sensitive way.ā
