Two men are set to appear in court this morning following the discovery of cannabis herb and cocaine worth an estimated €7 million in Ashbourne Co Meath on Thursday afternoon.
The two men’s arrest comes after Gardaí conducted raids on a number of properties in the area on Thursday afternoon.
In what is described as a massive haul Gardaí say the arrests were made as part of an international investigation on drug and gangland crime.
Gardaí say the searches were carried out by gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force along with the assistance of Dutch police.
It is understood the two men will appear before Trim District Court later this morning.
