Two rainfall warnings in place as heatwave becomes a distant memory

We are back to more familiar Irish summer territory, as heavy rain and strong winds begin to lash Ireland once again.

Two Status Yellow warnings for heavy rainfall are now in place, ahead of 24 hours of heavy showers.

The warnings cover Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Waterford, Connacht, Cork, Limerick, and Tipperary.
