The UK Coast guard have moved the search inland to the Snowdonia National Park region of Wales in an effort to locate the helicopter that went missing yesterday carrying 5 people crossing the Irish sea.

The UK coast guard is said to be writing with the Welsh and Irish sea services in an effort to locate the privately owned helicopter carrying five businessmen on board.

The helicopter was travelling from Milton Keys to Dublin, via Caernarfon Bay when he lost radar contact at 4:15pm yesterday afternoon.

lsh Coast Guard commander Mark Rodaway was speaking to BBC Breakfast the morning:

He said: “There’s a whole range of inquiries that we will engage with; first of all we’re working very closely with air traffic control and we’re looking at a review of radar information and, secondly, obviously we will look for mobile phone data.

“All of that combined has given us a new focus, in and around the Snowdonia National Park.”
