Motorists across the country are being urged to drive very carefully this morning as widespread frost, ice and even snow is lying on many roads after snowfall over the weekend.
The warning comes after Met Éireann issued an orange weather warning for Leinster and parts of Munster and a yellow status warning for the rest of the country.
Met Eireann say many roads having not been gritted, especially B roads and that people should drive with extreme caution until the cold snap subsides.
It’s understood that the national forecaster will issue a status yellow weather warning for the entire country tomorrow morning until teatime tomorrow, Monday.
