Wet Wednesday: Met Eireann issue yellow status weather warning as 11 counties are expected to see heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours




There will be a wet and miserable 24 hours ahead for people living in the West and South West after Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning.

The latest heavy rainfall warning comes as the national forecaster has said they expect that most of Connacht, Kilkenny, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Cork and Kerry will see rainfall between 30mm and 50mm.

Met Eireann say the warning which will come into effect at 9pm tonight will remain in place until 9pm tomorrow night.
