A man in his 30s is in a critical condition in hospital, following an altercation outside a nightclub in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, last night.
Gardai and paramedics were called to a location in Davitts Quay, Dungarvan, where a man had sustained a serious head injury.
He was treated at the scene before being rushed to University Hospital Waterford. He was later transferred to University Hospital Cork, where his status is described as ‘critical.’
A man in his 20 was arrested in connection with the incident.
