Prince Charles has automatically become King, reports Sky News, as the British monarchy is hereditary, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen passed away this afternoon in her residence in Balmoral, Scotland.
Her family rushed to be by her side earlier today.
Charles hasn’t been sworn in, that happens at a later date, but automatically he is now King of England and the Commonwealth.
