?BREAKING: 19 arrested in Dublin as second night of mayhem sees bystanders hospitalised and property set on fire

Gardai have announced that a total of 19 people were arrested last night during a second night of mayhem in the capital.

The arrests were all public order offence related with two of the 19 arrested under the age of 18.

Gardai say they were forced to intervene and disperse very large crowds of mostly youths in the areas of St Stephen’s Green, Temple St and St Anne St.

They say that one innocent bystander who wasn’t involved in any public order offence was attacked by the gangs and ended up being taken to hospital.

A number of bins were set on fire while a van and other property seemed to have also been set alight.

Gardai in riot gear sealed off the above areas including that of Dawson St, a normally popular area to socialise when night life is normally open.

It’s understood that gardai say they’re ready for another night of torture tonight as the government’s outdoor summer clearly isn’t working.

Some social media users have been saying that gardai are too aggressive, especially with the riot gear, while others say the entire city should be locked down to get the situation under control.
