A girl aged in her teens and a man in his 80s have been killed in separate road accidents, gardai have confirmed.
The girl died aged the tractor she was in overturned – a teenage boy in the tractor was uninjured. The accident happened in Loughduff, Cavan late on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile on the Annagassan road in Castlebellingham, Co Louth, a man aged in his 80s was struck by a car and died at the scene just before 8pm last evening.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to contact them on the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
