Two teenagers have sadly died and two others are badly injured following a car crash in Headford, Co Galway.
Gardai say the accident  happened at Pollacullaire near the Shrule road in the early hours of this morning.
Four teenagers, two boys and two girls aged 13 and 14, were in the vehicle when the crash happened. It is not believed any other vehicle was involved in the incident.
Two teenagers, believed to be a male and female, have been pronounced dead and the other two are being treated in hospital for their injuries.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses around 5am on a narrow stretch of road at Pollacullaire off the N84 Headford to Ballinrobe road to contact them on  the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
