In breaking news from America, actor Johnny Depp has won his multimillion-dollar US lawsuit against his ex-wife the actress Amber Heard after a jury ruled his 2018 Washington Post article was indeed defamatory.
Depp is suing the Aquaman star for $50 million over the piece, which had a title of “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.”
The article does not specifically mention Mr Depp by name, but his lawyers said it wrongly implied that Depp physically and sexually abused Ms Heard while they were together. Something that did not happen.
