🔴BREAKING: Women and children migrants have entered hotel in Tipp despite good people of Roscrea braving sub-zero temperatures protesting the hotel

This article has been amended to correct information published on January 15th stating that male migrants had flooded into the Racket Hall Hotel in Roscrea, Tipperary. However, it has transpired that it was women and children who have entered the building at this stage. A factcheck article on this subject produced by the journal.ie can be read here. Our original article has been amended below to reflect this information.

Concerned locals in Roscrea, Tipperary remained as resolute as they could in their blockade of the Racket Hall Hotel braving sub-zero temperatures to stop the government’s plans to establish yet another migrant plantation.

However, it appears their blockade hasn’t work and a number of migrant women and children have been placed in the hotel.

Many people on social media claim that Roscrea, along with other rural and working class communities, has been targeted as part of “the 21st Century plantation of Ireland”. However, fears of 160 unvetted male migrants landing in the hotel on January 15th did not transpire, as reported by thejournal.ie.

Again, many people believe political and media classes are out-of-touch with the ordinary man and woman on the street with some social media users being accused of stoking fear into communities.

Either way, a national protest on the subject is planned for February 5th starting at 2pm in the Garden of Remembrance. It’s expected large numbers of people will attend on the St Brigid’s bank holiday.
