To the delight of endless children around the country, many schools will remain closed today following snowfalls and severe frost and ice overnight.
Schools in Donegal, Kerry and Cork were closed on Wednesday and will be closed again today.
Parents are advised to use common sense in relation to bad roads, slippy footpaths and decisions based in relation to the actual school’s own location, where it is, whether it’s accessible or whether it’s too dangerous or treacherous to get to or home from.
Parents are advised go check locally with their school to see if they’re open or if a text or social media post has been sent out to notify of closures.
