Met Eireann has issued two urgent red warnings due to potential danger to life conditions overnight as Storm Debi heads straight for Ireland.
The national weather forecaster has warned motorists to be extremely careful overnight as winds will likely fall trees and could even topple lorries, especially on motorways with crosswinds.
The entirety of counties Clare, Offaly, and Westmeath, plus areas around east Galway, and south Roscommon will be under red warning from 3am to 7am.
A Status Orange warning is also in effect for many other areas.
People are advised to share this information with their friends, especially with those who will be on the roads overnight and early morning.
