12 more people arrested in anti-water meter protests in North Dublin

Twelve more people have been arrested in more anti-water protests in North Dublin today. It is also believed that a woman was injured during the protest.

The woman, who has been understood to have been hit by a truck, has been taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is recovering from minor injuries.

Gardai arrested the people this afternoon and they were taken to Coolock Garda Station, where they verified their names and addresses before being released.

Gardaí have said that the people were taken in under the Water Services Act. The incident is believed to have happened at the Limewood Estate in Raheny just shortly after one o’clock this afternoon.
