
A 12-yr-old girl who fell and broke her hip in a takeout restaurant as a baby, breaking her skull, has paid €11,000 to resolve a high court case, reports The Mirror.
When the High Court learned that Aisling Crowley had injured her head after falling on the floor of the Supermac’s takeaway restaurant in Tullamore, County Offaly, it was only six months old. There is no acknowledgment of responsibility in the settlement.
Through her mother Sarah Sherlock, Aisling Crowley of Clonaslee, County Laois filed a lawsuit against AVTD Ltd., which is based in Tullamore, County Offaly and operates Supermac’s in Tullamore. It was explained to Mr. Justice Micheal P. O’Higgins that the girl might not prevail in court because culpability was a major factor in the case, reports The Mirror.
