In an attempt to save his beleaguered re-election campaign, US President Joe Biden has boldly declared that he is “completely” ruling out withdrawing from the 2024 race, reports Breaking News.
After concluding a crucial televised interview, in which every response would undoubtedly be examined for proof of his qualifications to seek public office, he made the remark.
Republicans were discreetly discussing where they would go next if the president withdrew, or what it would imply if he stayed in, despite Mr. Biden’s concerted efforts to change course after his appalling debate performance last week, reports Breaking News.
However, Mr. Biden’s goal in Wisconsin was to demonstrate his ability to hold the office of president. In response to a question on whether he would end his campaign, he said that he was “positive” that he could serve for additional four years.
The president claimed that his appalling performance in the debate last week was a “bad episode” and that there were “no indications of any serious condition” in a clip from his interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
“I didn’t listen to my instincts in terms of preparing. I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day, I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world,” said Mr Biden, who rejected the idea of taking an independent medical evaluation, reports Breaking News.
