14 and 17 year olds arrested in connection with Belfast car theft

Two teenagers have been arrested in Northern Ireland in relation to the theft of a car.

The two young men, aged just 14 and 17, are currently being detained by the PSNI in relation to the theft of a car Saturday night. The two teens are also suspected of a number of other offences, including aggravated burglary, stealing and driving a car, and dangerous driving.

The PSNI have reported that the pair entered a house at Lille Park, South Belfast around 11.45pm Saturday night.

They proceeded to take car keys and steal a car.

It is also reported that one of the boys was armed with a knife.

The car was found abandoned later last night in the Arnon St. area of Northern Belfast.

Insp. John Murray stated that “The two males currently remain in custody assisting police with their inquiries”.
