A 19-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital, after an assault in Kildare last week.
It is understood that the teenager was punched just as he was getting into a waiting cab. He then fell backwards and hit his head on the curb. He was rushed to Naas General Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
A woman was also assaulted during the incident, which took place on Main St., Rathangan Village, Co. Kildare, on Wednesday last.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
