234 new jobs to be created by Limerick Institute of Technology with the construction of new engineering campus




There was some good news on the jobs front today as it was revealed that more than 230 jobs are to be created with the construction of a €14m engineering training centre of excellence at Limerick Institute of Technology.

The new campus which will be the colleges sixth was granted planning permission by Limerick city and county and will be built at Coonagh, Co Limerick.

The new building will house a number of educational tools thar will focus on precision engineering training.

The first phase of development is planned in stages over three years, but the college hope to welcome some students by 2018 at the earliest.
