29 people are missing after a devastating fire on an oil rig in the Caspian Sea.
Rescue crews managed to evacuate 33 people off the Azeri rig, which was ravaged by a fire caused by damage to a gas line due to a storm.
Prosecutors have now initiated an investigation into possible breaches of safety regulations.
The rig, operated by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, has been in operation since 2008.
