Shocking footage (below) has emerged online of UK police visiting and confronting an independent journalist and threatening him with arrest for reporting an illegal gathering at a Mosque near his home in West Yorkshire.
Police called to the home of Tom Linden and threatened him with arrest if was seen outside, despite journalists being exempt from some restrictions so they can still report on news and issues.
Mr Linden had reported on and covered large gatherings of men at Mosques in Bradford and Leeds that were allowed to continue unimpeded by police despite British citizens being confined to their home and at times arrested for things such as visiting parks, beaches and family members.
The police, however, were not concerned with the illegal gathering of Muslims flouting the Restrictions on Public Gatherings but instead threatened to arrest Mr Linden for speaking about it.
The disturbing footage and numerous reports of full Mosques around the UK has left many to ask why certain groups of people seem to be exempt from the restrictions that are being harshly imposed on others.
