Lockdown restrictions are to be imposed across Germany as the coronavirus situation deteriorates rapidly again.
All schools and non-essential shops will be closed between December 6 and January 10, as will bars and restaurants.
The move follows a rapid increase of coronavirus cases in the country over the last few days.
