The brief summer-like weather that Ireland enjoyed over the last weekend is all but gone now, as Met Eireann is forecasting a spell of heavy and thundery rain.
Low pressure is currently building up, with the possibility of rainfall and isolated thunderstorms at times, starting Wednesday. According to the national forecaster, some areas will remain relatively dry while others will see torrential downpours.
Current indications point to a ‘positive’ forecast for the Bank Holiday weekend, but there’s still some uncertainty about the precise weather conditions.
