Dublin Airport said it was interested in avoiding a reduction in flight capacity during the summer season.

It comes after London Gatwick Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport announced plans to limit flights due to staff shortages.

The airport operator, DAA, said the measures it had put in place to avoid the long delays on May 29th that caused some 1,400 people to miss flights had worked well over the past three weeks.

Overflow facilities in pre-terminal areas are now fully installed and available when needed.

According to DAA, more than 650,000 passengers passed through Dublin Airport last week, with the vast majority passing through security in less than 45 minutes.
