Pope Francis has sent a papal message to all those affected by the Creeslough tragedy, which left ten people dead.
The message was delivered to Raphoe Bishop Alan McGuckian, in which the pope said he was “saddened to learn of the loss of life and destruction caused by the explosion in Creeslough”.
He also expressed “his spiritual closeness to all those suffering in the aftermath of this tragedy”, also stating that “his holiness implores the divine blessings of consolation and healing upon the injured, the displaced and the families coping with the pain of loss”
Sending a blessing to all Irish people affected by the tragedy, the Pope says that he’ll continue to pray for the people of Creeslough and the victims.
