Gary and Paul O’Donovan are now back home, after outstanding performances in Rio and elsewhere.
Crowds gathered at Cork Airport this evening to greet the sportsmen, who won a silver medal in the men’s lightweight double sculls during the Rio Olympics, Ireland’s first ever Olympic rowing medal.
Paul also won a gold medal in the Men’s Single Lightweight Sculls at the World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam yesterday.
The men, from Skibbereen, Co. Cork, arrived home to a hero’s welcome.
