The last person to talk with British teenager Jay Slater, who vanished while on vacation in Tenerife, put up a campaign, and it has successfully raised the whole $35,000 (£30,000), reports Breaking News.

By Sunday night, the GoFundMe established by Lucy Law to “get Jay Slater home” had raised £31,721 in contributions.

Three days ago, Mr. Slater’s acquaintance created the page, and a comment underneath purporting to be from Mr. Slater’s mother Debbie Duncan stated that it had been “approved by our family.”

The post said: “We have not yet withdrawn any funds and are currently covering the expenses, such as the trip to Tenerife and accommodation, ourselves. The funds will remain on hold with GoFundMe until we post a further update on this page,” reports Breaking News.
