Police in Burlington, Washington, America have started a lone gunman has killed four women in the make-up section of Macy’s department store, and at least one man bringing the total to five.
Police released a statement claiming four female victims have been confirmed dead, while a man brought to hospital has also subsequently died.
“We’re doing everything we can to find this person. Stay vigilant. If you see something, just like they say, say something,” said Washington State Patrol spokesman Mark Francis as quoted by local Komo News TV. “Avoid the area. If you live close to the area, stay inside – lock your doors.”
Police released a still from CCTV footage showing the suspect. They say the man “armed with rifle and extremely dangerous.” He entered the Macy’s department store around 12am Irish time, 7pm American.
The major manhunt is underway.
