A mid-air emergency was declared on board Air France flight AF-636, which was travelling from Paris, France to Houston in the US yesterday afternoon.
The The Boeing 777-300 (ER) flight thankfully diverted and landed safely at Shannon airport crew declared a medical emergency after the parents of a baby alerted flight attendants and expressed concern about the infant’s deteriorating condition. It’s believed that the baby was suffering from a high temperature.
Emergency personnel met the flight as it landed around lunchtime and departed onto its original destination some 2 hours later.
Thankfully the baby’s condition is said to be stable today.
