Floods in the Paris region have led to the evacuation of hundreds of people after the Seine burst its banks.
Paris has seen similar flooding in recent years however, the waters are still rising and are not expected to begin to recede until Monday morning.
While over 1,500 people have so far been evacuated from their homes due the Seines flooding police are remaining on alert in case more evacuations become necessary.
So far over 200 French towns along the Seine have reported flooding. Paris has been paralysed after several underground train stations were closed because of safety concerns and several major roads are impassable and resemble rivers.
Boat traffic on the Seine has also been banned due to the dangerous swells and rapid flowing river.
