Rallies to take place in both Dublin and Belfast in response to Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding rape trial verdict




Rallies will be held in both Dublin and Belfast later today in response to the recently verdict handed out following the Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding rape trial.

According to Dublin Live the rallies which will take place at Belfast High Court and at the Spire on Dublin’s O’Connell Street, come after thousands of individuals took to social media to voice their anger and disgust at the verdict passed out on Wednesday.

It is thought that the rallies were organised after a number of Facebook pages were set up to issue to support the woman involved in the case, whislt Twitter has been awash with tweets containing the hashtag  #Ibelieveher.

Although the defendants Paddy Jackson, Stuart Olding, Blame Mcllroy and Rory Harrison were acquitted lot all charges at Belfast Crown Court on Wednesday, The feminist movement say they will take to the streets in a show of solidarity to the woman at the centre of the case and other victims of sexual crimes.

The events are expected to take place between 12pm and 2pm tomorrow afternoon.
