The Bank of Ireland have issued another warning to its customers after a new phone and email scam has been discovered.
In an announcement made on Thursday, the bank has urged customers to be extra vigilant as the fraudsters have been reported to be making scam phone calls and sending emails.
The bank who have been the victim of a number of scam attempts over the past few months, say the would be fraudsters are deliberately phoning and sending emails to customers that makes customers think they are bank employees.
Bank of Ireland say the scammers then purposely request that customers hand over their personal banking details.
The bank have also urged customers not to handout their personal details and to report such incidents to the Bank’s customer service team.
