A number of tributes have poured in for two 15 year old teenagers who sadly died following a swimming accident in Co Clare on Thursday.
The two young boy’s who have been named as Jack Kenneally and Shay Moloney, tragically died in hospital after they got into difficulties whilst swimming at a quarry on the outskirts of Ennis.
It is believed that both teenagers drowned whilst swimming at the quarry which is located on the Tullagh Road, just outside the town.
Although both boys were rescued by emergency personnel, they sadly died a short time later at University Hospital Limerick.
According to various report, it is understood that one of the boy’s got into difficulties whilst swimming which prompted the other teenager to go rescue him. However despite his best efforts they both sadly drowned.
Speaking about the tragic incident on Friday, members from the local community have expressed their sadness upon hearing the news, whilst many have said they are still in shock.
