The position of Minister for Health Simon Harris is becoming increasingly ‘untenable’, according to political opposition, after it became clear that he was aware of the increasing costs for the National Children’s Hospital back in 2018.
The minister had so far claimed that he was ‘unaware’ of the runaway costs of the facility until November. However, a number of memos proving otherwise surfaced in the interim.
Sinn Fein have been particularly scathing of the hapless minister, calling for his immediate resignation.
The row continues.
