Five days after being injured in an alleged attack in County Tyrone, a man passed away in a hospital, reports Breaking News.
At before 3.15 a.m. on Monday, the Northern Ireland Police Service received a report that Stephen Holmes, age 31, had been attacked in Strabane’s Beechmount Village neighbourhood.
After being transported to the hospital in serious condition, Mr. Holmes passed away on Saturday due to his injuries, reports Breaking News.
Their inquiry has been elevated to a murder investigation by the PSNI.
In relation to the event, another individual had appeared in court.
Detective Inspector Griffin stated: “Officers will now review charges against a 31-year-old man who appeared before Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 6th, in connection with the investigation,” reports Breaking News.
