Kiltullagh girl Saoirse Ruane and her family shared their “immense” and “indescribable” relief after receiving the best Christmas present they could ask for.

Saoirse and Mum have announced to supporters and supporters that they have “some good news”, the counselor’s confirmation that the brave girl from Galway has no new tumors and there is nothing “unusual going on” about her health since her last ultrasound.

Mam Roseanna said the relief was “immense” and “indescribable”.

Explaining the happy news, she said: “Her oncologist said he was happy with what he could see and to go and have a wonderful Christmas. [There are] no signs of new tumours or anything unusual going on,” reports Galwaybeo.

Saoirse attended her quarterly appointment at Crumlin Children’s Hospital Dublin and Roseanna described the moment the visit ended with the good news

Mum Roseanna said: “On the way out as we walked down the corridor, Ollie gave me a little squeeze and I hugged him back and the words we exchanged were ‘thank god’ and ‘isn’t it great’. The relief is immense and indescribable,” reports Galwaybeo.

But the heroic mother-of-two shared that the moments that lead to such test and follow-up results can be a major worry: “It makes your legs weak, your stomach sick, emotions high and it’s the biggest distraction from everything else that’s going on in our lives,” reports Galwaybeo.

Luckily, Saoirse’s top advisor is at work and Michael Capra has been praised for his “amazing manner” with the fighter.

She said: “No matter how bad things are in the past three years, we are always guaranteed a laugh when we meet him. Michael Capra has such a fantastic way with Saoírse and it puts her so much at ease,” reports Galwaybeo.
