A woman in her 40s is fighting for her life after she was stabbed in her flat at 8am this morning.
The incident occurred in a flat at School Street, Dublin 8. The woman is said to be critical in St James Hospital.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is in St. Kevins garda station.
