Dublin City Council are allowing plans to demolish Apollo House to go ahead.
The vacant building on Tara Street Dublin is currently being occupied by activists and homeless people.
The owners of Apollo House have said they are “worried about the health and safety” of the occupants.
Musician and activist Glen Hansard of Home Sweet Home responded tweeting:
“Home Sweet Home welcome the company’s concern for the health and safety of those sleeping in Apollo House. These residents were previously sleeping on streets and doorways. We invite the company to investigate the health and safety conditions of these streets and doorways, and get back to us with a comparative analysis.”
