In what can only be described as truly heartbreaking, Aisling Moore and her little daughter Abbigael Moore-Tournié have sadly been killed in a car crash in Mayo on Tuesday evening shortly before 6pm.
A statement from the parents Association of St Aidan’s National School Kiltimagh reads:
“It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness that we learned about the tragic deaths of beautiful 2nd class pupil Abbigael Moore-Tournié
and her loving mother Aisling Moore.
Abbigael was a beautiful child. So full of life. Always smiling. It’s is heartbreaking to think she has been taken so suddenly in such a tragic way. She was a much valued pupil and friend of 2nd class. All her friends adored her as she was always so much fun to be around.
Aisling was so well known and liked among all the parents within our school community. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was a beautiful soul. Her gentle presence always brought a sense of calm. She was so devoted and proud ofAbbigael. You would never see one without the other.
Aisling and Abbigael were in school Friday evening for the Uniform Exchange. Little Abbigael had her blue eye shadow on and with a twinkle in her eye she said to us ” I think I’m allowed to cartwheel in here since no teachers are around” without a reply off she went! She was so pleased and happy with herself walking out the door. Aisling offered to stay and help which was not unlike her as she was always so supportive of the Parents Association.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Aisling and Abbigael’s family, friends and neighbours at this devastating time. We are also thinking of all Abbigael’s friends in 2nd class, the staff and parents of St Aidans.
Aisling and Abbigael you will be forever apart of our school community and we will always remember the joy and love you brought to it.
May Aishling and Abbigael Rest in Peace. Forever together like they always were ❤️❤️
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam”
May they rest in peace.
