Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn says that a significant number of cases are expected in the few days




The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that a significant number of Covid-19 cases are expected in the next few days following outbreaks in counties Kildare, Offaly and Laois.

Speaking at NPHET briefing, Dr Glynn said that given a high number of cases occurred at meat processing facilities there is cause for concern in the further rise of cases given close contacts.

Dr Glynn who said that a proactive approach had been taken to deal with the outbreak, told reporters that the situation in these particular areas will be monitored closely in the coming days ahead.
